At the center of this bag is a lion's face rendered in a spectrum of quilted color — his mane sweeps outward in layered fabric pieces of flame orange, golden yellow, deep teal, crimson, and violet, each strand a separate appliquéd section stitched with fine detail lines that follow its curve. His face is built up from warm golds and soft sage greens, with piercing teal eyes that anchor the whole composition. The swirling background — teal, navy, and purple clouds worked in tight concentric quilting — gives the piece real depth and movement.
